Job summary

Collage Arts is seeking a Programme Researcher to support the monitoring and evaluation of Voices Unbound — a three-year programme embedding arts-based practice into secondary school alternative provision settings for young people at risk of exclusion or who have been excluded. The role will work alongside the core delivery team and an external evaluator to help evidence impact, capture learning, and support annual reporting.

You’ll be highly organised, reflective and collaborative, with experience working in educational settings and confidence gathering and presenting information clearly. You’ll bring a strong interest in the intersection of arts and education, and an understanding of the needs of young people in alternative provision or at risk of exclusion.

Working pattern: Flexible spread of days across the year, limited fixed attendance dates

About Voices Unbound

Funded through the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Arts-Based Learning Fund, Voices Unbound places an arts practitioner into each of three school/alternative provision settings to deliver weekly sessions (Jan 2026 – Jul 2028). The programme explores how arts-based approaches can support young people’s engagement and attainment, confidence and agency, and sense of belonging in their school communities, with reflective practice built into delivery.

Who you'll work with

You will work with the Voices Unbound team at Collage Arts and alongside external evaluator Prof. David Buckingham, with the programme led by Steve Medlin (Artistic Director) and Andry Moustras (Programme Manager).

Where you'll be working

The role is ideally based at Collage Arts (Wood Green) on a Wednesday or Thursday, with travel to the programme’s three partner schools in Haringey and other meeting venues as required.
